Dean Scaduto founded Firepit Health with a personal mission: to create a better path forward for people battling addiction and mental health challenges. Having lost his cousin and more than 50 friends to addiction, this work is deeply personal—and urgent.
A seasoned entrepreneur and operator, Dean has built and scaled addiction treatment centers across multiple states, gaining firsthand experience with the system’s shortcomings. Through Firepit Health, he’s leveraging technology to expand access to care, especially for underserved communities, and to make recovery more immediate, dignified, and effective.
Dean also leads a digital marketing firm focused on healthcare growth and serves as a Techstars All-Star Mentor. His approach combines compassion with execution—driven by a belief that everyone deserves a real chance to heal.
Dean holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a master's degree in negotiation and conflict resolution from Columbia University. In 2023, he completed advanced programs in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, Deep Learning through MIT xPRO, and Unsupervised Machine Learning at MIT Sloan School of Management and MIT Schwarzman College of Computing .
